Default Car accident during work hours

If I was involved in a car accident driving my personal car for business purposes, who would cover the medical bills? The workers compensation or my car insurance?

Default maybe

There is a good chance that work comp would cover your accident, but it depends on the state. Most states do not allow "coming and going" to/from work to be covered, but may allow commuting for work-related tasks (making deliveries, sales calls, etc.) to be covered.

Check on our Workers Comp State Links http://www.healthharbor.com/WorkCompStateLinks.html to see if your state might cover it. Good luck.

This is not legal advice.

Smile worker's compensation

Well worker's compensation is supposed to be a form of insurance that provides medical care for employees who are insured during the course of employment so by this definition, worker's comp would pay for your medical bills because they are medical bills an the accident occurred when you were doing business-related things. Your car insurance would pay for the damages for the car but the medical bills would be worker's comp. Again, it depends on what state you're in but you can look it up. Hope this helps.

Yes worker's compensation will cover it and if your accident wasn't your fault you might could get sue money depending on other party and face of accident. Thought if you are medically not able to go to work... you will get that working pay as well...
